Fall/ Winter 2019-2020 Accessory Essentials

by Daniela Rodriguez |

When it comes to jewelry trends for Fall/Winter 2019, the latest styles are bold, daring, and oversized. This year is all about letting your jewelry make a statement.

What does this mean in terms of jewelry? Get ready for over-the-top designs featuring:

1. Chunky Chains

2019 was a big year in fashion, politics and the world. Everyone is trying to stand out and make a name for themselves. With an oversized, chunky chain, you can help them make sure you're not forgotten. Though it may seem counterintuitive, there is something simple about chunky jewels. Just one bold necklace and a matching pair of earrings can transform a look.

2. Statement Hoops

Hoop earrings are the simplest, yet the coolest fall 2019 jewelry trend we are pretty sure we’ll see everywhere come the colder months. For the new season, hoop earrings got interesting makeovers, sometimes appearing uber-luxurious, sometimes highly modern, while other times creatively otherworldly.

3. Heavy Cuffs

Though we did see some dainty bracelets grace the runways, the favored aesthetic by and large was the chunky and ornate cuff. Cuff bracelets are a favorite among the stylish set for many reasons, one of the most celebrated being their likeness to a sculptural work of art.

Wearable art figures heavily as a fixture in the fashion world, so why not jump on the bandwagon now? Cuffs have the surface area to play host to beautiful amalgamations of jewels and intricate designs. Even a simple and luxurious molten gold or silver cuff has an endlessly artistic feel, forceful in their minimalism. Cuffs are an easy way of incorporating jewel tones and exotic motifs into otherwise basic looks.

4. Costume Jewelry

Elegant and luxurious jewels that were snatched right out of the antique armoire of a turn of the century heiress graced the runways. These were no traditional baubles, however. They were life-sized and dazzling in their rich and prismatic proportions.
